Braiding

Select stylists offer basic french braids, waterfall braids, dutch braids, etc. This does not include box braiding with or without extensions.

Updo

Pertains to any hairstyle in which the hair is gathered together and held to the back or top of the head. Typically booked for special occasions and other events.

Bleach

Typically accompanied with a toner or glaze, bleach is a lightening service where lightnener is applied directly to the scalp for a uniform all over non-dimensional blonde.

Corrective Color

The process of either fixing a color that has been done incorrectly or a coloring service that is more complex than a single process or dimensional color.

Dimensional Color

Technique in which multiple shades of the same color are used to add depth and dimension to hair, appearing fuller and more voluminous. A combination of Highlights and Lowlights are often used to create a more natural look.

Fashion Color

A double process – hair is lightened and dried prior to applying the desired color. Clients are encouraged to contact us for a consultation prior to booking.

Hair Painting / Balayage

Techniques in which hair color is painted on the hair without the use of foils.

Balayage, the French word for “sweeping,” is a lightening technique that is designed to create a more natural, sun-kissed look by sweeping the color on the surface of thin, ribbon-like sections of the hair.

Hair Painting is also a lightening technique, though the color is painted on the surface and underneath of wider sections of hair with heavier saturation for maximum brightness.

Highlights

Full Highlights start at the root and are applied all over the head to create a noticeably brighter and multi-dimensional look.

Partial Highlights start at the root and are applied around the face, crown and sides of the head to focus the brightest color around the face.

Lowlights

Similar to Highlights, though lowlights add dimensions through darker tones rather than brightening the hair.

Mens Gray Blending

Combination of different shades to create a custom camouflaged look to best blend throughout and ensure subtle, low maintenance results.

Tint

This technique is typically for those who need to cover their roots when original hair root color is showing. Semi-Permanent or Permanent Tint adds shade to the existing hair color to result in an even, subtle shade to the hair’s base shade.

Toner / Glaze

Changing or depositing color back into the hair after a lightening service. This can also be used to add or remove tones currently in the hair.
